This Day In History

One of the greatest Americans in our history. #OTD in 1945, Jackie Robinson signed his first major league contract in Branch Rickey’s office, at 215 Montague St., Brooklyn, NY. Here's my painting of him from August 28, 1949. pic.twitter.com/8VgYs2MWQf — Graig Kreindler (@GraigKreindler) August 28, 2018

Miami Dolphins Have A New Defensive End

The commish, Roger Goodell, will love this guy, err fish, because he doesn’t spear with his helmet to tackle. If he kneels during the Anthem, however, he could face suspension, and Trump will be all over his tail and will use him as real bait to feed to his base! You gotta admit that is one helluva pass rush. We confess our sexist bias as it’s 50/50 that hard hitting dolphin just may be female. This gets funnier and funnier the more I watch it pic.twitter.com/5WpD92WT3u — Eve Forster...

God, I Love Mike Trout!

You got that?  Pulled the little guy out of the stands to hang with him! A couple weeks ago at Camden Yards, Trout pulled a 6 year old out of the pregame crowd. He spent time with the kid by his side during Batting practice. Stretched with him, and talked with him. He even gave him his bat. Vive la France!

Wow! Everybody got it wrong from the machines to the bookies.   There is hope for us mere humans. The ex-ante MIT Algo had France losing to Brazil in semi-finals.   The humans (bookies) had Brazil taking home the World Cup. Today’s victory erases the bad memory of the Zinedine Zidane’s infamous headbutt – coup de boule –  and red card which cost France the 2006 World Cup to Italy. Hats Off To Croatia The algos didn’t give them a chance....

Tweet of the Day: Dancing on Dmitry’s Grave

Ouch! That must have hurt. Remember the war between Honduras and El Salvador that, in part, started over a World Cup qualifier?   The “Football War” or “100 Hour War.” Feel bad for Russian player, Mario Fernandes,  who missed the entire goal during the shootout.  Hold your head high, my brother, you got the Russian team into the shootout with your header in late overtime, and, most important, you were in the arena! It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the...
