'Democracy's Day'

Biden kicked his Inaugural Address declaring "This is America's day.   This is democracy's day,"

"Democracy has Prevailed"

"Democracy has prevailed," said Biden pointing to and thanking former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama who were in attendance.

The phrase was in reference to the riots at that capitol and Trump's efforts to overturn the election.

Trump was notably absent at the inauguration.

"Let us start afresh. All of us. Show respect to one another. Politics need not be a raging fire destroying everything in its path. Every disagreement doesn't have to be a cause for total war. And, we must reject a culture in which facts themselves are manipulated and even manufactured."

Biden cited Abraham Lincoln who said "My whole soul is in it," after signing the Emancipation Proclamation.

Biden said, "Today on this January day, my whole soul is in this, bringing America together, uniting our people, uniting our nation, and I ask every American to join me in this cause."
