Nonsensical Notion “Trump Brought Peace to the Mideast”

Summary:
LarryK1 dayNeither Bahrain nor the UAE have never been involved in any of the wars of Arabs against Israel. Where is the peace deal there? Most Arab countries never recognized Israel as legitimate, and wouldnt until there was an agreement with the Palestinians (which would never agree unless all of Israel was given to them). This is not a surrender as there would be after a war, this is a recognition of Israel as a country, a psychological blow to the Palestine which prods them in the direction of a REALISTIC final deal. The main source of violence in Israel for the past 45 years has been in the reaction Israeli treatment of the Palestinians. Where is the peace? There can be no peace until BOTH parties want it. While Palestine has had the backing of the Arab states, against reality, they

  1. Neither Bahrain nor the UAE have never been involved in any of the wars of Arabs against Israel.

  1. The main source of violence in Israel for the past 45 years has been in the reaction Israeli treatment of the Palestinians. Where is the peace?

There can be no peace until BOTH parties want it. While Palestine has had the backing of the Arab states, against reality, they have not been willing to negotiate in good faith.

  1. This deal sets the stage for Israel to complete an illegal annexation of the West Bank. That will bring violence, not peace.

And the signing of this deal brought rockets down on Israel....so who is committing the violence?

  1. Selling F-35s to the UAE is an odd part of a peace deal

Not going to disagree. This is more, I believe, a desire of the UAE to defend itself against the Shia muslims of Iran. Then again, this could be a complete feint by the UAE to acquire US technology that can then be evaluated by China, Iran, etc.....time will tell.

  1. The US still has troops in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, all against the will of those countries. Is that peace or war?

This is a COMPLETELY different issue than the peace deal between Israel and some arab countries. The desire of some US warmongers and neocons to create and maintain some type of empire through force isnt something that should be linked to this agreement/argument. That is a topic of its own..... That being said, yes, the US occupying counties against their wills does foment ill will and contributes to instability in the region. I mean hell, if Russia had troops in our country against our desires, there would be a LOT of people uprising against it.....but they would be called patriots not terrorists. Unless you were a democrat/antifa/marxist/media.....then you may actually welcome it ;)
