The 2020 edition of the digital publication "People on the move – statistics on mobility in Europe" is released today covering for the first time data for the aggregate European Union with 27 Member States.
In today’s European Union, people are constant move, be it due to migration, education, work or tourism. This digital publication, which contains short texts and interactive visualisations, shows trends and the latest data on a large range of statistics.
These include immigration, residence permits, commuting between regions, tourist destinations and number of cars, just to mention a few.

On 18 October, Eurostat will release its forthcoming publication “Ageing Europe — looking at the lives of older people”. This brand new publication will be available in both paper and digital format.
Did you know that the number of people living in the EU aged 100 or more is projected to grow from almost 106 000 in 2018 to more than 500 000 by 2050? This and other facts can be found in the publication, which provides a detailed picture of the daily lives of older people in the EU, with data for individual EU Member States and EFTA countries.
The digital version will include interactive visualisations with the aim of giving you a simple and attractive insight into the current situation of older people in the EU.
